1.Re: Sexy Sharapova

I agree. It is good that she can earn money modelling, but we all want to see her as the #1 Player in the World.

I am sure she will not be distracted by these other interests, but she is still young, and sometimes can be taken in other directions.

10.Good thing, but carefully done
Posted by JimM on 8/6/2005 9:17:58 AM
Its good that she has an interest in Business. I think when she completes School she will study Business Management at College or University.

She said in an interview that if she should badly injured and had to give up tennis, she would have another skill to fall back on. This is a very wise thing, in one that is so young.

11.Is Masha improving her game
Posted by JimM on 8/6/2005 9:09:07 AM
There are strong rumours tha Masha is working on her movemnt and Net play. Phil Dent is supposed to be helping her. At wimbledon, she alowed herself to be dragged into a slugging match with Williams, instead of taking the game away from Williams.

Masha only came to the net 7 times in defending her crown. So, if this story about Phil Dent is true, it will stand Masha well in next years (2006) Wimbledon.

No one knows if she really has a boyfriend or not. Several names have been quoted, And Roddick and Juan Carlos Ferrero being two. But these men seem to be just friends.

14.Rankings
Posted by JimM on 7/16/2005 9:30:38 AM
I think the way the rakings in both men and womens tennis has to be changed. Lindsay Davenport has not won a Grand Slam in 5 years, yet is still ranked as #1!!!

I do not agree that a player should be given a high ranking simply because the play a lot of tournaments.
